WELCOME
Gyotaku (which translates to "fish rubbing") is an ancient traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches, since there were no cameras. Over the years, it has also become an art form of its own.
"Gyotaku and More" was born at a place of emotional struggle and morphed into healing (and art). I found myself in awe of the details of the fish, respecting their beautiful tiny details and unique differences. (To be honest, I've always loved water creatures of all type.) I had just retired but was left feeling empty. "Who Am I, if I'm not that professional xyz?" God really smacked me one day and said "Hey what about all your other beautiful and unique details? Why are you ignoring them and placing all of your value in only one detail about you?" Wowsa, right? I believe that God brought Gyotaku to me...to find me again.
